When a cat does these quiet things, it shows real trust not just need

The love of a cat does not often appear clingy. Frequently it presents itself in the form of serene, reproducible decisions: in which a cat sleeps, in which a cat gazes upon a person and in what ways a cat feels secure to act in the open.

Such actions are likely to be manifested after a cat has made a decision that an individual belongs to the safe area. There are those that are too apparent and those that are missed so much, when they occur amidst regular day-to-day activities.

1. Aftering one another through room after room

A cat following one around the house is making a choice of being in the vicinity, not control. This behavior is common when the cat anticipates good things to come out of such a person, namely: comfort, predictable interaction, and a feeling of safety. It may appear as curiosity, however, the regularity counts: the cat will always put itself in a location where such an individual has been, even when nothing special is occurring. This is an everyday routine of having together time in most of the houses where the cat spends time with him or her in a non-drama interaction.

2. Lying on top of somebody (or cuddling in close)

Cats are not vulnerable to location as sleep is a time-sensitive activity. A cat sitting on the lap, the stomach, or chest is an indicator that the cat perceives that it is safe in that place, it won’t be startled by abrupt touching. Co-sleeping is frequently observed as well; one study reported that 62 percent of cats sleep with their adult owners, and many cats obviously like to have a person they trust around them when sleeping. When a cat suddenly begins to do this more often than usual it can also be indicative of a need to be reassured following a change in ordinary routine.

3. Lazy blinking in eye contact

One of the most obvious indicators that cat gives is that things are not alarming. It is manifested when the cat is relaxed enough to relax the face and drop the eyelids with impunity. It is an acceptance gesture as it was explained by the veterinarian Gary Weitzman, the slow blink is actually an acceptance gesture. There are cats who go to the extent of waiting as though they are waiting to be reciprocated with the same relaxed response.

4. Cleaning an individual body of hair or skin

Allogrooming Allogrooming, grooming of another cat, assists the cats in the social group to retain their bond. When that focus is on a human, it tends to indicate a sense of inclusion and comfort, and such behavior is associated with cats grooming cat companions. Grooming may also be aroused by attractive smells of shampoo or lotion and some cats groom as a form of relieving stress. In case grooming is vigorous or the cat appears to be insistent in swallowing hair, a veterinary examination will rule out a stressful or nutritional problem.

5. Being able to demonstrate the belly, but not leaving right away

The belly of a cat is its weak point hence rolling over and exposing it is often a show of trust and not a demand. Most cats will offer the belly and even then not want to be patted on it, turning to defensive paws when a hand has too much directness. What is more reliable is the meaning of the word comfort: the cat is comfortable enough to show what it usually guards. The most secure reaction is often limited attention to the conditions of the cat- voice, a head rub, or an invitation to get closer.

6. Welcoming noise at the door (or coming up to him)

Certain cats even use their greetings only to certain individuals and particular occasions and particularly reunions. Greetings may consist of meows or trills or brief outbursts of sound accompanied by rubbing or circling. In a little experiment of homecoming involving recordings by their owners, cats were discovered to be both noisier with men than with women in greetings and that cats vary in the way they communicate with different people they interact with. General greetings are expressed in a vocal form and contribute to the familiarity and connection.

7. Massaging someone (making biscuits)

Kneading usually begins during the kitten stage, in which kittens press the paws together to get milk. Most of the cats continue with the behavior since it is highly comforting and relates to comfort in the early years. It can also be used as scent-marking since the cat has scent glands between the toes and after leaving a familiar trace. According to PetMD, one of the reasons why some cats engage in such behavior (repeatedly) is that it produces dopamine and helps these cats to relax. By making sure that the frequency of kneading is not abnormal, as well as other changes in behavior, a veterinarian would assist in determining whether it is caused by discomfort, anxiety, or pain.

8. Bearing of gifts, of toys to prey

Gifting might appear awkward, however, in most cases, it is a case of social bonding: giving, taking notice or initiating communication. To a place they deem safe and secure, cats are able to bring something along. In the case of the wildlife as gift, there is actually a negative to this on both the cat and the environment, the American Bird Conservancy estimates that there is 2.4 billion birds that are killed by cats in the U.S. each year. Indoor keeping pets and providing positive play options could also help to divert the urge and not empower hunting.

None of these behaviors will ensure that a cat behaves in a similar manner on a daily basis. The most notable thing is repetition: when a cat consistently prefers to be close, relax, and use vulnerable body language towards a particular individual, it shows that this is a relationship that is based on being comfortable and trusting. Love means less to most cats than it does to most people: it means tacit permission: to be around, to sleep soundly, to be in the room and be perfectly comfy with it.
