This time, comedian and former Saturday Night Live star Bill Hader is playing the mischievous feline, who will traverse different worlds in the upcoming 2026 movie. Rivinoja and Art Hernandez were hired to direct in October 2020 before the latter was replaced by Carloni in June 2023. Most of the cast was announced in March 2024, with DNEG providing animation. And that third world becomes yet another aesthetic, yet another stylization for animation.
